Alyssa goes to school with Mommy!

I wanted to try to take Alyssa to school with me today to see how much I could get done. Well as it turns out it was a great day. She played on her own so well and even went down for an hour and half nap in her stroller! We had lunch and played some more and left in the afternoon. No smiles in these pictures, but she had a great time in a strange place!

New Sandbox

She sees something on the ground that wasn't there before.

Telling Daddy what she thinks it might be! Quite the chatter box lately!

Yep, she was right! Well sort of...she wouldn't mind playing in it without any sand!

The dogs are curious too. That is of course if they can pause WWXXII!

Playing before Daddy is even done dumping sand!

Happy girl!

"I promise to grow more grass for you when I'm done with the sand box" :)

The Cabin

Our Christmas gift last year from Mom and Dad was a weeks stay at a cabin for Craig, myself, Alyssa, Adam and the dogs as well as for them. At the time it seemed a little strange, but spending the week in the middle of nowhere with our own pond and a beautiful place to stay now makes sense. We had a great week of swimming, playing cards, relaxing, going in the hot tub, and playing with the baby and the dogs.

In all honestly, I think Riley got the most use out of the pond. Here he is searching for water...any water!

Craig setting Riley up for diving off the dock.

A perfect '10'

I see many things that could have gone wrong here.

I loved being in the water with her. She is such a confident and trusting baby!

We got this $6 boat in Port Burwell. She sat there watching everyone swim around her.

Nana, Papa, Steve, Ginette and Matthieu came for a visit.

Playing with Nana's wheelchair.

Grandpa and Grandma McCulloch came for a visit and went golfing with Craig on Monday.

Jessy brought his bed...Darcy found it quite comfortable. Coincidently, Alyssa also loved playing in it.

10,000 Dice!

Too much sun. Darcy was very conscious of Craig as he had thrown her in the water three times this week!

First campfire.

Enough of the fire...she wanted to play with the stones.

"weeeeee..."

Oy!

Camping in Port Burwell

With Craig on holidays this week, we thought we'd try camping for a few days at Port Burwell Provincial Park on Lake Erie. There's a great dog beach where we could all have fun! It was a great time, until the rain hit. Even with the humidity and extreme heat, Alyssa did amazingly well (of course!).

Two VERY tired puppies!

Found sticks and was digging and poking everything with them!

Loved this little boat out of water and in the water!

"fishy face"

Humidity brought out her curls!

Our makeshift bathtub. She loved it!

You may think this was mean, but it was SO hot and the water wasn't that cold. She really enjoyed it because she then started splashing herself!

Now we're gearing back up to go to a cottage on Friday for a week! We're having a great summer!
