Cat nap

After a long day of swimming, playing and touring around London, someone was ready for a quick power nap. I asked her if she just wanted to lay on the couch, she said "yah, bunny, please"...or something like that.

My new Cricut Expression! My husband truly surprised me! Love him!

Alyssa got a beautiful table and chair set from Grandma and Grandpa from the Mennonites! She loved getting up and off the chairs!

Craig, and his new Kindle! He was so excited to get that!

Uncle Adam gave Alyssa a tent, and she's waiting patiently for him to put it together.

I gave Dad a helicopter in his stocking. I was so stinking excited to give it to him :)

Christmas Eve

Alyssa got to open one of her presents the night before...Christmas jammies...but a little big, so we had to stick with the 'Ho Ho" pj's she's wearing.

We made shortbread with Nana yesterday. It was great to learn the "proper" way to do it. Alyssa even made her own cookie.

We had a great afternoon of making chocolate chip cookies. She loved watching and helping to stir, and only ate a few chocolate chips at the end of it.

She had to peek inside the bag to make sure she got them all out. What missed the bowl, she ate!

Snow Day 3

Today's news said Lucan was hit the hardest and we received 154 cm of snow! No one can believe it! We were beginning to run out of places to dump all the snow.

That may look like grass, but the wind whips around the house and the snow bank on her left is taller than me!

So adorable! She loved walking in the snow and trying to pick it up!

Snow Day

Southwestern Ontario is having the biggest snow storm we've seen in the longest time. So bad that Thames Valley closed all of the schools. Alyssa and I made pancakes this morning and in the afternoon we had a play date with Maureen and Luke in town. Here we are playing in the snow after getting home. She didn't mind the snow, unlike last year. She was trying to pick up the snow and 'throw' it.

Trick-or-Treat

What a great Halloween! Whenever you asked her what she was going to be for Halloween, she said "kitty cat." She loved her "kitty cat" costume. We were working on the 'meow' part...but never quite got the hang of it. She knew exactly what to do with her bag, and would run right up to the door of a house. Depending on what was going on, she would run right in or she would get to the door and turn around and run right back to her car.
