Alyssa's first camping trip

This past weekend, us, Mom and Dad, Adam and Tamara and Hayden (for Friday) went camping at the Pinery. It was a gorgeous weekend, and we couldn't have asked for better weather. Good thing those thunderstorms Friday didn't happen! Alyssa was fantastic, couldn't have asked for better. She slept in the tent, ate and played like she always does. She came home quiet dirty, but we all did! She loved hanging out at the beach with Riley and Darcy and sat at the edge while the waves flowed over her legs. I'm sure she would have liked to have gone in deeper, but still too cold yet!

We've got the camping bug, and I can't wait to go back.

Giving Grandpa some dirt she found!

First time playing in dirt...hunting for stones.

Not long before Darcy discovered that there were people sleeping in the neon green tent! GRANDMA!!!!

All bundled up in the morning.

Dad's coffee setup! Hey...it works!

Eating oranges with Grandpa. She LOVES oranges!

"Mmmmm..."

"....wah"

Riley was in heaven! Darcy, not so much!

Picking up stones

Waving to Riley in the water.

Yeah, sand does not taste very good!

Dug her hands into the cool, wet sand.

Loved the feeling of the water splashing up on her.

Helping herself to some yogurt melts.

Playing in the pool

This is what I came home to after school on Wednesday.

So we decided Thursday to do the same thing.

"baa baa"

Playing outside

This is the water table that Grandma and Grandpa B gave Alyssa for her birthday. With the beautiful weather, we have finally had an opportunity to use it. She loved playing with the sail boats and then sitting in it with her farm animals.

On the mend

We've been working on one major runny nose for the last couple of weeks. Then Thursday night she went haywire, and neither of us (Alyssa and Mommy!!!) got any sleep! Dad slept just fine :) Friday I took her to the doctor, and gave her drops for her eyes and said her ear was a little red, but nothing to prescribe for. Saturday and Sunday we tried to combat the fever at home on our own, but when it went crazy high again Sunday afternoon, we decided to take her to Children's Emerg. It was our first time going, and we all did amazingly well. I spent my time entertaining her, watching her play with her Dora bracelet, and singing games. Craig spent the time updating grandparents on her situation! He is very good at that! She had a high fever when we got there, they gave her some Advil and within 45 minutes she wanted down to crawl and explore. Then they wanted to check her ears! Well...wasn't that a scream and a half. It was an ear piercing scream I had never heard before! Poor thing! Determined that the little bit of red ear drum on Friday had turned into a full blown ear infection. Now we have antibiotics and the correct dosage information for Tylenol and Advil! She is now back to sleep, but I couldn't help catch this photo of bum-in-the-air sleeping! With a bunny ear in her mouth! She has grown quite attached to these things!

On the go...

She had pulled herself up to the front window and was waving at a dog that was walking by! Just happened to have my camera!

Spring is here!

She is officially a crawler!!!!

Easter

We had a great Easter this year. While Craig was in Chicago, Alyssa and I were busy with family get-togethers! We had a blast! She was great at every one of them!

Looking for goodies from the Easter Bunny...only to find books and socks!

Her new look showing off all her teeth. She is up to 7 now!

These are the great grand children of the Bauers. And one great great grand child, Baby Lincoln.

At Aunt Carol's for Easter dinner.

Ben Langford and Alyssa had a stare-down. She was quite enthralled with him!

Around the Bay Road Race

Sunday, March 28th, 2010, Craig, Dustin and Christy ran a relay race around the bay in Hamilton. Everybody did a great job, and although I was driving around everywhere trying to find them and then a parking spot, I am very proud of them!

There were 10, 285 walkers/runners there! This is merely a snippit of the amount of people there!

The finishers came into Copps Coliseum.

Post race discussions!

They paused long enough for me to get a photo!

Fantastic day!
